BIOGRAPHY

Emtee is a Brazilian music producer, sound engineer, composer, and a freestyle rap underground MC. Some of his notable achievements include TOP 45 Candango Cantador 2009 with the song "Nasci pra Isso", which was sponsored by Cultura e Criatividade DF (www.candangocantador.com.br). As well as, second place by popular vote for Best Brasiliense Hip Hop Album at the 2011 Prêmio Hip Hop Zumbi Awards (premiohiphopzumbi.blogspot.com). His solo EP was also nominated for the Prêmio Hip Hop Zumbi Award the following year, in 2012.

b. Marco Antonio, known as Emtee, was born in Brasília, DF. He has lived in Mexico, the USA, and Brazil (where he currently resides). He is a professional Sound Engineer.

Around 1998, along with Pure, Emtee formed the Hip Hop group called: "Realness." Their simple, yet addictive lyrics composed unforgettable classic successes such as: "Baby Girl Without U", "Streetz", among others. Through several years the group's most notable track, "Baby Girl Without U" remained at the top of charts and ranked as one of the most downloaded songs at Chuck D's (of Public Enemy) website: "Rapstation.com".

In 2000, the group broke apart.

In 2001, Emtee left the American town Rockville, Maryland and started to record alone.

Emtee has the main objective of using his music creations to keep the Brazilian youth away from drugs and violence, thus motivating the kids to stay in school.

In 2011, Emtee was the official beatmaker of the Brazilian Hip Hop group known as: Movimento Plano Crew (MPC). He was also an MC (Master of Ceremony), rapping on most of the recorded tracks. He is a firm supporter of Brasiliense projects such as: "Roda do Rap" which is utilized to inspire various art forms and music in the Brasília, DF area.

In 2017, along with fellow Brasiliense singer/MC Zigoto (Pleno), Emtee created, produced and released the album: "Beat Peso & Papo Reto", which also features several Brazilian artists. These artists are from different cities in Brazil. Artists featured in the album include: Alves, De Leve (of Quinto Andar), Zen, Singelo, Fala Ribeiro, Sabah, Um Ser de Lua, Dih, among others...
